Beginners 101

Everyone who shops with coupons organizes differently.  I want to start off by telling you to do what is comfortable and easy for you.  There is no right or wrong way.

I use a 3 inch binder and organize my coupons with plastic card sleeves and dividers.
This initial investment will cost around $20, but worth EVER penny in the long run.

Here is my Coupon Binder

I always use the cover to keep my rebate forms and receipts so they aren't forgotten or misplaced.

The inside pockets are used for my eCoupon lists and store coupon books.

I also have a pencil pouch that holds a pen, scissors and a calculator.

My coupons are organized by catagories. You can use whatever categories works best for you. Some of mine are: Freebies, Household cleaners, Fragrances, and Bath and Body, Canned Food, Frozen Food, Refriderated Food, Snacks, Etc.

Once you have your binder ready to go, the next step is to start adding coupons.

I have 5 Tacoma News Tribunes delivered to my house every Sunday.  For a great deal on Newspapers visit Queen Bee Coupons .

I also visit coupon blogs regularly to find deals, coupons, etc.
The blogs I frequent the most are:
Queen Bee Coupons
Hip2Save
Deal Seeking Mom
Thrifty NW Mom

I print coupons from Coupons.com , retailer's websites, Facebook, etc.  If you are looking for a coupon for a specific item you will probably have good luck finding one by googling the item or searching Facebook.

I will take pictures of my next Sunday paper routine and post it and continue the 101 then.
